I am: a writer, a long distance hiker, a runner, and owned by three cats, three dogs, and one husband.
I live in a log cabin in the mountains. I went to college and got a degree in English/Creative Writing. Everyone laughed. What are you going to do with that, they asked. Write books, I thought to myself, as I fought fire, cleared trails, planted trees, and moved back and forth across the country working for the Park Service and the Forest Service.
I feel very fortunate.
